Description PRESENTED TO R P BARROW ESQr BY MR. CHINUBHAI MADHOWLAL ON THE OCCASION OF STARTING OIL ENGINE OF M. SHOP OF RUNCHHODLAL CHHOTALAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL. AHMEDBAD 7th MARCH 1910.


HISTORY: REGINALD POCOCK BARROW, BORN IN WORCESTER 1864 CAME FROM A LONG LINE OF ARISTOCRATS & EDUCATED AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY ENTERED THE INDIAN CIVIL SERVICE IN 1885,SERVED AS DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF PAPER MONEY IN SIND IN 1900 & BECAME COMISSIONER SOON AFTER.DURING HIS OFFICE HE WAS PRESENTED WITH NUMEROUS SILVER CEREMONIAL GIFTS TO COMMEMORATE SPECIAL OCCASIONS ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN STAMPED ACCORDINGLY. R. P. BARROWS WAS ALSO A KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. PHOTO WITH BARROW PICTURED IN WHITE JACKET IN SECOND ROW FROM THE FRONT.
